Welcome to Creative Healing Counselling. I am Luciana Daghum, MA, RCC. I am professionally trained and certified counsellor. I provide counselling services that use play and art to support the growth and healing of children. I also provide talk therapy for youth and adult clients. My services incorporate evidence-based research practices to best help clients’ healing and growth processes. Clients of all ages are invited to reconnect with their creative inner self in a self-paced and self-directed search for self-healing and growth. Clients are immersed in a non-judgmental, non-directive, inclusive environment, and know that I actively provide a service that is focused on their needs. As a professional clinical counsellor I abide by the ethical principals that guide my profession. My services are offered in English and Brazilian Portuguese in Vancouver, BC.

Child Counselling

Focusing on children’s needs is at the heart of my practice. Decades of professional research have shown the benefits of non-verbal therapies over talk therapies with children. Guided by this, my services incorporate the natural language of children: play and artistic expression. Together, these means of communication let children communicate and process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.  I also provide some psychoeducational activities to help children learn skills to manage strong and mixed feelings, as well as to manage anxiety, grief, and other aspects of serious life transitions. I actively work to create environments that support children and let them express themselves actively.

Support for Parents

I see parental involvement in a child’s therapy as essential; consequently I involve parents in the counselling process as it is appropriate. When children are the clients I also offer services that support and teach parents about how to better support their children. I also see parents with children and siblings in sessions.

Counselling for teens and youth
